The Fowler jacket is a perfectly utilitarian, unisex design, which offers two distinct styles of outerwear in one pattern; choose between a cosy quilted jacket and a workwear-inspired coat. Perfect for layering, the Fowler jacket is roomy and oversized, with a boxy fit and dropped shoulders. It features two-piece sleeves and a standless collar. With button or snap closures, Fowler is a comfortable, country-inspired jacket ideal for long walks and endlessly customisable.
- Version A is a classic barn coat style with double-layer patch pockets and a single chest pocket. It features a turned-back hem at the sleeves, topstitched seams, and a traditional pressed hem.
- Version B is a quilted jacket with rounded patch pockets. It is finished with double-fold binding at all edges and hems.

Recommended Fabric:
- VERSION A - BARN COAT
- Medium to heavy weight, non-stretch woven, structured fabrics such as canvas, twill, denim, corduroy, or wool.
- VERSION B - QUILTED JACKET
- For a quick and easy make, choose pre-quilted fabric or a substantial jacquard, brocade, or similar fabric thick enough that it holds its shape without a wadding layer.
- To create a quilted jacket:
- Outer and inner layers − light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, lawn, voile, chambray, and percale, or linen. Flowy fabrics are not recommended.
- Central wadding layer − cotton, bamboo, or wool quilting wadding.
