LIV dress

This pattern features two options, a dress and a blouse. It has a simple design with well thought out details such as the buttoned shoulders and curved bottom edge with extra wide hem facing. The belt gives you the choice between a hour glass shape or a A-line.

Sewing level: Intermediate maker.

It´s available in 16 sizes, size 32-62. The body measurement for the bust for size 32 is 76 cm and for size 62 it is 152 cm. You will receive all sizes when purchasing this pattern.

The pattern includes files for:

- A4 (51 tiles)

- US letter (51 tiles)

- A0 (3 tiles)ready to be printed.

This pattern also include an instructional booklet with all the information needed for a successful project, including a step-by-step sewing manual.

MEASUREMENTS AND SIZING

The fit is loose for this design, bare that in min when choosing size.

Are you in between sizes? Use your bust measurement as you most important guide. It´s also usually best to choose a bigger size rather than a smaller one, when in doubt.

ADJUSTMENTS AND HACKS

This design is slightly loose fit and features two options, a dress and a blouse.

It has a hour glass silhouette with a wide belt, or a A-line shape with the belt. It has a buttoned shoulder, double V-necks. inseam sewn on pockets and a neck and armhole facing. 

The dress has a curved calf length hem with a extra wide hem facing. The blouse is hip length with and hem facing as well.

If you prefer, you can:

- choose the blouse over the dress, and vice versa

- wear it with or without the belt 

- Adjust the neckline to be rounded, deeper V-necks or a boat neck.

- Loose the buttoned shoulder and make a regular one.

- Change the pockets to not be sewn on, or loose them entirely.

- Make the bottom hem straight, high/low or even more curved.

SKILL LEVEL

The skill set needed for this design is: INTERMEDIATE

BEGINNER: You have little to no experience in making clothes. You are a beginner in every sense of the word.

CONFIDENT BEGINNER: You have completed a few simple projects involving fabric, patterns, and a sewing machine. However, you have not yet developed complete confidence in sewing. You have seen patterns and understand the basics.

INTERMEDIATE: You have made some sewing projects and are starting to feel confident when making simple items. You are eager to learn how to sew moderately difficult details, such as collars and collar stands, darts, and in-seam pockets. You have used patterns a few times and feel confident using basic patterns.

EXPERIENCED: You have made several sewing projects and feel confident making most garments. You possess the skill set for creating various details, such as welted back pockets and tailored front pockets for pants, as well as vents and cuffs for shirts. You feel confident using most patterns and can make simple adjustments.

EXPERT: You have made a lot of clothes and know you can create the most elaborate garments with excellent results. You have a skill set comparable to that of a tailor and are accustomed to making garments with a lot of detail, linings, and intricate finishes. You are confident using most patterns and usually make adjustments to your patterns, both in design and for personal body shape.
