I made my dress from faux leather. The assembly instructions are for a fabric that doesn't require edge finishing (overlock, zigzag stitching, hemming, etc.). You can use a similar fabric to mine, like scuba, for example. Or you could choose a completely different fabric such as crepe, Tencel, poplin, or wool. You'll just need to adapt the assembly steps to your chosen fabric.
