Empire waist dress, with a discreet V-neckline, gathered bodice under the bust, and a waist cinched by a wide fitted belt that enhances the silhouette.

It can be rather chic or summery, it all depends on the material chosen. In a crepe or viscose, its fluid and elegant line will be perfect for special occasions in any season. But it can just as easily become a pretty summer dress if you prefer a soft cotton or more casual linen.

Regarding any technical difficulties, the installation of the zipper on the back is explained in great detail in the pattern: you just have to follow the instructions. And if adding the piping to the waistband scares you, don't worry because it is completely optional!
