The Pietra pants and shorts pattern brings together the best of both worlds: a high-waisted silhouette with a flat front and the comfort of an elasticated waist at the back. Pietra has front panels that elongate the legs, hip pockets and a wide lining that connects them and keeps them in place. You'll never want to take it off!

Choose between four leg styles: a wide leg that can go to the floor or be cropped (Version A), a straight, narrow leg (Version B), or a slightly flared short (Version C).

SUGGESTED FABRIC

This pattern can be made with a variety of fabrics depending on the desired effect. For a more defined shape, use structured weaves like linen, chambray, or lightweight denim or twill (heavy weaves may create too much bulk at the elastic waistband). For a chic and glamorous look, use rayon challis, tencel or silk.
