Job offer - Quilting teacher

We are looking for a teacher who is cheerful, has good people skills and who would like above all to share her passion for handmade items.

Ideal for filling your self-employment.

MAIN TASKS // RESPONSIBILITIES​

  • Teaching the basics of quilting to adults (group of 4 to 6 participants)

  • Teaching quilting on regular household machines.

PREREQUISITES

  • Have a good knowledge of sewing, mainly quilting.

  • Be comfortable with technology, e.g. iPad, Google Drive, calendar sharing (training provided)

  • Be organized and autonomous, resourceful, creative, educational and proactive

  • Spoken and written languages: functional French & English

  • Have a good knowledge of commercial patterns (or PDF) know how to make adjustments and modify them

SCHEDULE​​

  • Part-time: approximately 3 to 6 hours per week
  • Start date: September 23, 2024

  • We are looking for someone available to give quilting workshops (5-course session of 3 hours) flexible hours (daytime, evenings, weekends) or one-off workshops on weekends.

  • Possibility to teach private lessons, the schedule is flexible and built according to your availability

  • This part-time position is paid as self-employment, hourly, and the salary is questionable.
